J. Michael Hill, Jr., ASA, CPA/ABV

Mike Hill, Jr. has over eighteen years of experience in preparing business valuations. Prior to joining Hill Valuation Group (predecessor to HSSK) in 1996, Mike was a Senior Staff Appraiser in the Houston office of Arthur Andersen specializing in financial valuation. His experience includes equity and intangible asset valuations for various purposes such as estate and gift tax, financial reporting, litigation and ESOPs in industries such as oil and gas exploration and production, waste management, retail and wholesale food distribution, printing and publishing, marine transportation, finance and banking, health care and many other manufacturing and service industries.

He received his BBA in both accounting and finance from the University of Texas and is a licensed Certified Public Accountant with the Texas State Board of Public Accountancy. He has earned the Accredited in Business Valuation (ABV) designation from the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and is an Accredited Senior Appraiser of the American Society of Appraisers (ASA). Mike currently serves as BV Discipline Governor on the ASA Board of Governors and is a Past-Chairman of the ASA National Business Valuation Committee. He is also a Past-President of the ASA Houston Chapter. Mike is a member of the Houston Business and Estate Planning Council as well as the Houston Estate and Financial Forum.
